I keep forgetting to post news items here on my main site. My apologies. In the past 10 months, I've been to a bunch of conventions and festivals. I've also had some comics released, such as Emiko Superstar from Minx Books (a line of graphic novels from DC Comics, which will soon be ceasing publication). I also contributed to short stories in House of Mystery #4 from DC/Vertigo and the anthologies Comix & Stories and You Ain't No Dancer vol 3. I'll put a little info about those on my site when I get a chance. My next comic book will be Ghost Projekt, a mini-series that writer Joe Harris and I are doing at Oni Press.

My livejournal is still the best place to follow my news and art on a regular basis. But I'm usually good at keeping my upcoming releases & appearances page up-to-date. If I'm slow with this stuff, hopefully it's because I'm busy drawing some great comics for you all to read!

This Sunday is the annual Word On The Street book fair in Vancouver, Toronto, Kitchener and Calgary. As usual, I'll be in the "Word Under The Street" section of the Vancouver event. That's where all the comic creators are found. However, due to the civic strike, we will not be found in our regular downstairs dwelling inside the downtown Library. Instead, you can locate us under some tents in the Canada Post parking lot at the corner of Georgia + Homer. Should be interesting. The event runs from 11am - 6pm.

As announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego, I am currently illustrating a graphic novel for the DC Comics MINX line. Written by novelist and performance artist Mariko Tamaki, the book is entitled "EMIKO SUPERSTAR" and will be released in 2008. Click here for more info.

If you're down at the San Diego Comic-Con next week, you can find me doing a couple signings at the Oni Press booth (#1834) on Thursday from 12:00 - 1:20 and Friday from 4:30 - 5:50.

That's where I'll be defacing books and doing sketches. I'll also be bringing a few copies of my last mini-comic Little Ghost, some 8.5"x11" Queen & Country prints and some little sets of 4"x5" sketchblog prints.

You'll also be able to spot me at the Minx panel Saturday @ 12:00 and the Oni Press panel Saturday @ 1:30. Shortly thereafter I will be running away to the safety of the Great White North. That's right, three (and a bit) days of Comic-Con sweat fog is enough for me.
